What is the point of a spy ship and spy missions if the intended target can see it??

surely a spy is covert and should not be seen....

perhaps with a chance of bieng spotted and destroyed on attempting the mission related to the ship used (ie a spy ship has a graeter chance of success) and possibly upgradable chance through the armory

dont know how much work this would be ... just a thought tho

At least spy ships return now. They are supposed to be sneaky yet always used to get destroyed. Anyway, I completely agree. Spying becomes kind of pointless when the enemy can see it coming.

I already asked pretender for implementing a nice spy code, all we can do now is wait.

Would also be nice if spy ships would report available resources at mines or colonies, that would greatly enhance their usefulness over suicide-reapers.
