Best ships

I need to know which is the best ship for attacking and defending at the start of game, mid game, end game for Terran and Sargon.

Statistically, for Sargon Reapers have the best attack/cost ratio, which is amplified by the best upgrade/cost ratio. They also loot the most for their cost.
This is all true for early game. I'm not sure about mid/late yet, but the ratios hold true unless ships become limited by population, in which case paying more for stronger ships to fit into limited pop would make sense.

I wouldn't dispute that. I was just saying that for Sargon, reapers appear to be the most efficient. I haven't played Terran, so I have no comment on them.

This is just my opinion, but as a Terran, Terenas with all their stats upgraded to the max, seem to be decent raiding ships when sent en masse, especially since their cheap and fast to produce

Actually, the cheapest ship has best price/force ratio; with some fixed amount of money you could buy, say, 10 novas with total 1240 firepower and 630 armor, or 20 reavers with total 2180 firepower and 3620 armor or 400 terrenas with total 5200 (or 9200 with upgrades) firepower and 7600 (or 11600 with upgrades) armor.

Also, get unit to level 10 upgrade of one parameter will cost you the price of 55 ships. So, with that fixed amount of money, if you decided to use novas or reapers you won't upgrade anything, though upgrades done by the price of 165 units will boost it's capabilities only by 5-10%, and if you decided to use terrenas you could easily upgrade it to it's maximum and you wouldn't even notice hit to your stocks, while terrena's capabilities raised for 40-80%. Another good thing is that on highly upgraded base resource stock refills faster than terrenas assembled, so this means that there is no extra-fee for assembling ships in conveyor mode.

On the other hand, if you use cheapest unit you will face the problem that you have to keep on your base awfully huge horde.
